One-on-One Personal Coaching

Our working relationship begins with a consultation to determine your goals. It's okay if your goals aren't quite clear... Lots of people seek coaching for help with that!
Then I propose a plan consisting of sessions and activities specifically geared toward helping you reach your goal. Once we agree on a plan, we'll finalize an agreement to move forward!
Retreat Design

I'm inspired to create retreats that help your team or friend group relax and rejuvenate so you can return to daily life with purpose and joy!
I can attend your retreat to provide facilitation so you can relax along with your "tribe." Or I can provide you with leader guides and support materials so you can lead your group's retreat with confidence!
I'll work with you to determine retreat purpose and scope, sessions/programs, size, and length. If desired, I'll even help you locate an appropriate venue, menu, costs, and marketing.
Public Speaking & Workshops

Talks are anchored in the phrase "Be Still" to hear your inner voice, which provides you honest direction to find the path you should take to live your best life!
Messages address topics such as gratitude, purpose, stress reduction, abandoning perfectionism, and releasing negative and unproductive thoughts.
Comfortable speaking with small or large groups, I can customize messages for your group's needs. Talks and shorter workshops are recommended when you seek encouragement, engagement, and inspiration but can't get away for a full retreat!

Why "STILL"?

Athletes, comedians, songwriters, and business leaders all know that slowing down allows them to replenish physically and mentally so they can move faster, be more creative, and make better decisions. Why do we think we don't also need such restoration?
My personal rediscovery started with the phrase "Be still" and expanded into a Mindfulness practice that has brought me peace and inner confidence. Stillness tends to go unappreciated in American culture, where we are encouraged to be productive and "on the move" at all times.
Taking time to be still allows us to hear our inner voices and take notice of the good things that surround us. And sometimes it helps us understand the thoughts and actions that hold us back so we replace those with thoughts and behaviors that lead us toward joy.
Should I get coaching or go to therapy?
I'm glad you asked! Depending on your circumstances, you might benefit from both. Neither is inherently more valuable than the other; it depends on your personal needs.
Therapy focuses on healing from past experiences and explores why you think and act the way you do.
Coaching helps you identify or clarify goals and encourages you to take action to reach them. Coaching can help you adopt new thoughts and habits that move you forward.
You may go to therapy and find that what you really need is a life coach (or that you also need a life coach). Similarly, you may find through coaching that what you actually need is therapy! It's very unique to the individual experience.
Mindfulness is the daily and continual practice of intentionally noticing your surroundings, influences, thoughts, behaviors, and blessings, It's choosing to notice what's going on within you and around you and recognizing options so you can choose the best path forward.
Some people worry that Mindfulness is "thought control." Nothing can be further from the truth! Mindfulness strengthens your ability to recognize when you are going through life on "auto-pilot" so you can avoid being a slave to your own thoughts or the thoughts of others.
Others say that Mindfulness is a type of prayer or meditation. That's my belief, and I'd love to show you how to incorporate this powerful practice into your life!

Pricing varies. Personal coaching prices will be established after a complementary consultation to determine need and program length. Retreat design and public speaking prices depend on audience size and length, and will be tailored to the full scope of services needed.
BACKGROUND
Why do you coach?
I coach because after years of building training programs for business and industry, I realize my heart desires to use my skills to help ordinary individuals rediscover direction in life.
For years, I struggled with crippling anxiety and fear, which showed up as excuses that kept me from recognizing my own accountability and potential, and which led to depression. During the COVID lockdown, I discovered ideas and practices that changed my perspective and my life. Now I have joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
So I get it. I know what it's like to feel "stuck," thinking "anxious is just how I'm 'wired'." But I found out I was meant for a better quality life. And you are, too. I'm inspired by the opportunity to help you rediscover your joy.
